BTTS — Both Teams to Score — is one of football betting's most reliable markets. Unlike 1X2, you do not need to predict which team wins: you simply need both sides to find the net. OddVora publishes BTTS tips only when our model reaches 65% minimum confidence, with high-stakes recommendations requiring 75%+. Our BTTS market achieves a 72% win rate and 11.8% yield over the last 30 days — our highest win-rate market and the preferred entry point for disciplined bettors building consistent returns.
BTTS Yes or BTTS No — When to Use Each
GG
BTTS Yes (GG)
Our most frequently tipped BTTS outcome at 74% win rate. Use when both sides have scored in 65%+ of recent matches, neither team has kept a clean sheet in their last four games, and the H2H shows mutual scoring in the majority of recent meetings.
74% win rate
NG
BTTS No (NG)
BTTS No tips are published when at least one side is in clearly defensive form — particularly strong clean-sheet sides hosting poor attacking away teams. 68% win rate. NG tips often arise in lower-league fixtures or matches featuring elite defensive sides.

How OddVora Selects BTTS Tips
Dual Scoring Rate Minimum
For a BTTS Yes tip, both teams must have scored in at least 65% of their recent games — not just one side. If one side scores freely but the other has blanked in three of their last five, the BTTS Yes model flag is suppressed regardless of the attacking side's output.
Clean Sheet Rate Filter
BTTS No tips require at least one side to have kept clean sheets in 45%+ of recent games. We prefer both sides to qualify — but a single side with an extreme defensive record (60%+ clean sheets) against a poor attacking opponent is sufficient to publish a NG tip.
H2H BTTS Frequency Signal
H2H BTTS frequency over the last six to eight meetings is a primary signal. If 70%+ of H2H games produced mutual scoring, the model is strongly biased towards GG. If fewer than 40% produced GG, the model strongly favours NG. This signal can override seasonal form data.
xG Corroboration
We require both teams to have xG above 1.0 in their respective recent outings before publishing a BTTS Yes tip in the top five leagues. In NPFL and lower-tier leagues we rely on scoring frequency rates rather than xG due to limited data availability.
BTTS vs Over/Under — Which Market Offers Better Value?
BTTS and Over/Under goals markets are closely related but serve different purposes. BTTS Yes requires only one goal per team — regardless of total goals scored. A 1–1 draw is a BTTS Yes but an Under 2.5 result. A 4–0 win is an Under 4.5 but a BTTS No. The two markets diverge significantly when one team dominates: a 3–0 win lands Over 2.5 but NG. Savvy bettors use both markets in combination — OddVora flags fixtures where both BTTS Yes and Over 2.5 align, producing a double confidence signal.
OddVora's data shows BTTS achieves 72% win rate versus 68% for Over 2.5 — but the combined play (BTTS Yes + Over 2.5) drops to 61% win rate while offering substantially higher odds. Use the combined play sparingly and only when both tips reach 80%+ individual confidence.
Key Principles for Profitable BTTS Betting
Do Not Chase High-Odds BTTS
BTTS Yes at 2.50+ typically implies bookmakers see only a 40% chance of mutual scoring. Do not chase inflated odds on defensive fixtures hoping for an unexpected goal — this destroys long-run yield. OddVora does not publish BTTS tips on fixtures where our model assigns below 60% probability.
BTTS in High-Profile Fixtures Is Overpriced
Bookmakers systematically undervalue BTTS in marquee fixtures — Champions League knock-out rounds, title deciders, relegation battles. Fans bet on match result, not goals, leaving BTTS mispriced. OddVora identifies these situations and targets them as core yield opportunities.
BTTS No Requires Patience
BTTS No tips are published sparingly — when the defensive conditions are unambiguous. NG tips have a 68% win rate but shorter odds than GG, producing comparable expected value. Do not force NG selections purely because one team is defensive — the attacking side must also be confirmed poor.
Stake 1–2% of Bankroll per BTTS Tip
BTTS tips carry lower variance than 1X2 but are not risk-free. We recommend 1–2% of bankroll per tip as standard, increasing to 2–3% for 80%+ confidence tips where H2H, form and xG all align. Never stake more than 3% regardless of confidence level.
